Counihan’s Season of Drawing – Participatory Drawing with Nani Puspasari

Link event

As part of Counihan’s Season of Drawing, Nani Puspasari is delivering a playful, drop-in drawing workshop at Glenroy Festival!

Children and adults are invited to draw freely on a long sheet of paper, exploring memories, objects, feelings, or imagined ideas. There’s no right or wrong way to draw.

As each drawing connects, individual stories come together to form a growing collective artwork.

All ages welcome. Come along to draw, share, and be part of a communal artwork.

THINGS WE CARRIED, THINGS WE SHARE

Join artist Nani Puspasari for a playful, drop-in drawing workshop inspired by her exhibition Things I Carried Quietly at Counihan Gallery.

Together, we will create one long, flowing drawing on paper, like a shared story unfolding across the table. Participants are invited to draw something they carry with them, a memory, an object, a feeling, or even something imagined.

There is no right or wrong way to draw. You might draw your favourite toy, a moment from home, a strange little creature, or something that does not have a name yet.

As each drawing connects along the paper, individual stories slowly become part of a larger collective artwork, celebrating connection, imagination, and the many ways we belong.

All ages welcome. Come and draw, share, and be part of something growing.
