The Deakin University Contemporary Small Sculpture Award, established in 2009, celebrates innovation and excellence in small-scale sculpture by artists across Australia. Organised by the Art Collection and Galleries Unit at Deakin University, Victoria, the award attracts over 700 entries each year, with around 42 works shortlisted for exhibition at the Deakin University Art Gallery. A rotating panel of judges selects a Winner and a Highly Commended, with the winning work acquired into the Deakin University Art Collection.
