Attasit Pokpong
(b.1977, Bangkok, Thailand)
Attasit Pokpong is a Thai contemporary painter and gallerist known for his striking portraits of Asian women characterised by pale luminous skin, dark backgrounds, and an enigmatic emotional presence. He studied fine arts at Rajamangala Institute of Technology in Bangkok and gained recognition in the early 2000s for his distinctive figurative style that blends realism with pop and surrealist influences. His works have been exhibited internationally across Asia, Europe, and the United States. In addition to his painting practice, he founded @attasit_contemporary in Pathum Thani, Thailand, a gallery that displays his paintings while also supporting contemporary artists.
