Finalist - 2025 Shelley Simpson Ceramics Prize
It’s only been two weeks since I returned from Japan, and I’m excited to share that my new series ‘Wild Things Grew Again’, created during my @air_sccp residency, has been selected as a finalist for the 2025 Shelley Simpson Ceramics Prize.
Now in its fifth year, the Shelley Simpson Ceramics Prize @mudaustralia awards a $10,000 prize to support creative practice. This year also marks the first time the finalists will exhibit in a four-week show at @craftvictoria in Melbourne.

Wild Things Grew Again
Ceramic, Shigaraki clay, glaze, gold leaf, anagama wood firing
Triptych, est. 8H x 9Wx 9D cm /each
This body of work explores a new experiment use Shigaraki clay, Anagama wood firing, and using gold leaf instead of the usual gold lustre third firing. I’m grateful for the chance to push my practice in new directions during this residency at The Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park, Japan
