The Postcard Ceramic Wall

The Postcard Ceramic Wall is a series of ceramic wall works that transforms imagined landscapes, distant memories, and places that may or may not exist into three-dimensional postcards. Like souvenirs from somewhere half-remembered, each piece captures a small world shaped by nostalgia, fantasy, and escape—more dramatic, more poetic, and with no stamps required.

The series was first presented as part of No Wi-Fi in This Paradise, a whimsical installation exploring the desire to disconnect from the constant noise of contemporary life. Using pastel colours, playful forms, and kawaii-inspired pop aesthetics, the works imagine an idyllic world where nature becomes strange, charming, and slightly surreal.

Rather than documenting real destinations, these ceramic postcards act as fragments of imagined journeys: places we long for, places we remember differently, or landscapes that exist only in our minds. Together, they invite viewers into a quiet kind of escapism—a paradise where connection is found not through a screen, but through memory, imagination, and the physical world.
